This page is for materials connected with Eric Rasmusen's book, Games and Information: An Introduction to Game Theory. First Edition: 1989, 344 pp., ISBN: 0-631- 15709-3. Second edition: 1994, 478 pp., ISBN: 1-55786- 502- 7. Third Edition, ISBN: 0631215573, 2001. Fourth Edition, 2006, ISBN:1405136669. Publisher: Blackwell Publishers, now owned by Wiley. I have posted links to five book reviews. The search boxes above just searches the game theory part of my website, and, at the moment, just HTML files, I think.

Answers to the odd-numbered problems and teaching notes for the classroom games can be found via the Miscellaneous page. Various supplementary teaching materials are there too. If you would like the latex and pdf overheads I used in my class in Fall 2006, email me.

To download chapters, go to http://www.rasmusen.org/GI/download.htm .

Some class overheads, in pdf, are in this directory: http://www.rasmusen.org/GI/slides/ .

The 4th edition errata are here. To find out what changes I made, see the new preface draft. There is a separate web page for the 3rd edition errata. The second edition has its own page, with links to second edition errata and second edtion material omitted from the third edition.

I compiled a reader in 2001. This reader is like my course packet-- journal articles, extra notes, materials on how to write and do research, news clippings, and cartoons. It has its own Readings in Games and Information website.

Translations Japanese translation by Moriki Hosoe (Kyushu University), Shozo Murata, and Yoshinobu Arisada, Kyushu University Press, Vol. I (1990), Vol. 2 (1991). Italian translation ( Teoria dei Giochi e Informazione ) by Alberto Bernardo, Milan: Ulrico Hoepli Editore (1993), ISBN: 8820320231. Spanish translation ( Juegos e Informacion) by Roberto Mazzoni, Mexico City: Fondo de Cultura Economica (1997). Korean rights were sold to United Consulting Group Limited. Professor In-Koo Cho (Illinois) wrote a Korean preface for this translation, which, alas, seems stalled out. A translation in Chinese Simplified Characters by Yang Yao (CCER, Beijing University http://ccer.pku.edu.cn/en/eyyao.htm) is available from Liangjing Publishing. A translation in Chinese Complex Characters was published in 2003 by the Wu-Nan Book Company in Taipei (http://www.wunan.com.tw/). The 2004 French translation with Editions de Boeck & Larcier is by Professor Francis J. Bismans (U. Nancy 2). His preface is here. To buy translation rights, go to http://www.blackwellpublishing.com/static/journal_rights.asp .

I've resisted the temptation to put lots of slow-loading graphics on this site, except to show the book covers in various editions and translations (and the striking green book cover for the, 4th edition, , for the 3rd edition, the Chinese Complex Characters edition, the Chinese Simplified Characters edition, and the French edition separately). I also have a separate page where you can hear my voice and see a picture of me. One of these days I'll post a movie.
