How To Use This Page

This page is part of a wiki, a website set up so that people can add to it and change it. The idea is to "crowdsource": to get people to insert their own stories and advice. It uses the same software as Wikipedia, which is very easy to use. I, Eric Rasmusen, set it up, and I want you to add your story and advice.

Here is how you do it. You go up to the top of the page, where it says Log In and Register. The first time you want to add something, you Register. That means choosing a username and password. The next time you use it, you log in.

When you want to insert something, you click on the EDIT that is next to a section heading. Then you simply add some words. Or, if you want to add a subsection, you type in something like ===Myname Smith===, making sure NOT to indent, and it creates a new subsection. This is very easy software to use. And if you do it wrong, when someone like me who is experienced with this software sees it, the viewer can edit your sloppy work and correct it.

I also like it VERY much if you put in links to your personal story, to media articles and key documents. To add a link, simply use square brackets, like [h ttps://mitfreespeech.org, MFSA] except without space that looks like a typo, since without the space what you see is MFSA. Note that you DO have to include the https:// part, or the software won't know you mean it to be a webpage.
