- The Law of Return allows anyone born of a Jewish mother to become a citizen of Israel unless they are "a member of another religion". Atheism is okay. Converts are also allowed in, even if they are not ethnically Jewish. Christian spouses are allowed in, unless they were born Jewish and converted to Christianity, in which case they are specially excluded.
