- Why pray? The straightforward answer is that the Bible tells us to. But why does it tell us to pray? There are many reasons. One is that if you pray, you become more conscious of the truth. You become more conscious of God's Glory if you pray prayers of Adoration, and more concious of His Will, if you pray prayers of Intercession, and more conscious of His Goodness, if you prayer prayer of Thanksgiving, and more conscious of His Mercy, if you pray prayers of Confession. I am thinking today, in particular, of how praying to God for guidance in what I should do reminds me of His Will, and my indiscipline.
- Muriel Hemingway prayer tweet, a good example for us.
