Sometimes a sentence has a double meaning. Can it have a 1 1/2 meaning? That is, is it useful to say of a sentence that it has a primary meaning, but points towards another meaning? The interval could be continuous, any fraction between 1 and 2. Or even any fraction between 0 and 1. (Writing problem: fractions aren't continuous; real numbers are. What should I do?)
