 Diffusion of colors in paper

Diffusion of food coloring in water.


Put holes in the side of a plastic bottle filled with water. If the hole is
higher, does the water spurt out farther?

Salt on ice cubes, melting it .

Putting mashed up paper into cookie molds and then let it dry.

Make a clay ball and see that it sinks in water. Then make a clay boat.Then put
clay balls inthe clay boat till it sinks.

Mixing: oil water and soap.

Using a straw to move liquid. First, show the liquid falls out. Then put your
finger over the top, and the water stays in.

Making  a windsock, and using a fan.

Make paper disks with patterns and put them on the turntable.

Invisible writing with lemon juice, whcih has sugar that burns and turns brown
when heated with an iron.


Mixing together blue and yellow to make green. Make purpose and orange.

Try to color a disk in two halves, then thirds, then quarters, etc.

Shadow puppets, with the movie projetor. Make paper shadow puppets.

Make a paper cover for a flashlight, and then put holes in it. See light
diffuse. Make patterns too. A movie projector lamp wouldb e best for this.

Rolling marbles down ramps of different slopes.  Is it slope or length that
matters?

Gears can be made with sandpaper and thread spools. The sandpaper has enough
friction to turn.

A pendulum with paint on it to mark its path.
