p. 5. Several Caribbean countries have formed a joint supranational court of final resort. Before that, they appealed to a British court as the final resort.
p. 46. Virtually all countries with "lifetime" appointments for judges force them to step down at some age between 65 and 70. Thus, the terms are really quite short.
p. 54. DeGaulle's 5th Republic Constitution of 1958 allowed the constitutional court to strike down laws only BEFORE promulgation.
p. 97. In 1971, the supreme court of India struck down the 25th Amendment as conflicting with the Constitution's "basic structure". In 1975, Parliament passed another amendment telling the Court it couldn't do that any more. But the Court struck down that amendment too.
