The Volokh Conspiracy has
a good analysis of the
San Francisco Chronicle's article lauding Robert Fisk, the notoriously mendacious and anti-American reporter who gave rise to the weblog term "fisking".
The attacks on Fisk's politics are mentioned, but more as a way to dismiss his critics. Attacks on the quality of his work are just ignored. What other conclusion can we reach but that, at least to the good people at the San Fransisco Chronicle, Robert Fisk must be as he is made to appear in this article -- one brave man speaking truth to power.
