Why having bad grades is not always a bad thing (by James)

Posted on December 15, 2014October 20, 2019 by amelia admin

Ok here we go… Failing in school is not always bad, depending on who you are. Many of the worlds greatest minds in history didn’t  even complete college and all that. Not to mention their grades weren’t exactly “stellar”. In fact even though some professions don’t need a certificate of completion to have. These jobs take a great amount of creativity and luck, and parents of children know that the chances of their child getting such an occupation are very low. But as Robert Frost once wisely stated: “…Two roads diverged in a wood, and I– I took the one less travelled by, and it has made all the difference.” Now obviously Rob wasn’t talking about grades directly; but choosing a profession that can’t be truly graded and that doesn’t need grades (whether they are good or bad) to be good at are usually the more fun, enriching ones. Take an artist for example: they can be good at their work while sucking in school majorly, but if they are good enough, they can make money through their art. Same deal for music. Many artists I know (and I’m into metal, just to keep perspective) have not even finished high school. But I’m not saying purposefully flunk out. That path, in this day and age will definitely not put you in a good position financially. But if you have a dream, a goal, and a passion to fulfill said goal in life; go on ahead, as long as you believe (and I know that sounds terribly cliche) you can accomplish anything.

This post thing was made possible by James who is not Amelia.

(This is Amelia: this genuinely was not written by me but by James who is an expert on school and success and life.)
